Cost Type
A user-defined method of categorizing item costs in Manufacturing for simulations and whatif
analysis. Examples of cost types include current costs (which reflect the item's current bill
of material or routing), proposed costs (which could be used in preparation for the next
standard cost period), or activity-based costs (which include costs for items that consume a
given activity).
